10,000 BTU Solar Window Unit Air Conditioner

This video is about a solar powered window air conditioner. The air conditioner is connected to three 180 watt solar panels. The array voltage is 96, amps are at 3.2, producing 315 watts.  The output power is 309 watts. The air conditioner produces 10,000 BTU. The unit has a Tri-star charge controller.  The unit also has a photovoltaic powered Lux sensor that lets the unit act like a hybrid car in that it can draw power from the grid when there is not enough sun light. The unit runs off of one battery that is kept charged. The end result is free air conditioning. Pretty amazing.
